I'm Pieterjan Heyse and I'm interested in the IDENT portion of SQUID.
thanks to Hendrik I managed to patch Squid to use the X-Forwarded-for
headers.
I would like to use that forwarded for address as the IP that Squid
uses to populate the %ident var. in external_acl with. This way I can
use the ident of the user (all our pc's have ident server) to check a
mysql database if they are allowed to surf or not. The only problem is
that I do not know any C++.

Hoping that I can find any pointers here, maybe someone who can help
me out.
