TE(gzip) on squid 3.0

Hi,

It's me again.
Is clientReplyContext::pushStreamData() a good place to encode data
(deflate/chunk/dechunk)?
May I use a buffer other than 'source' parameter to pushStreamData?
Must I?
I am 'forwarding' TE patch to squid 3.0, but I found my self into
trouble when deciding where to do the acutal encoding.
