RE: compile problem with IPv6 branch ??

gethostbyname2 is a GNU libc extension which acts like gethostbyname()
except that other address families than AF_INET may be requested.

If your system libraries uses other methods for getting the IPv6
addresses then this part of the code may need some modifications.
