i still try to compile squid (i use cygwin and i want the
executable to run without cygwin)
i tried to merge squid-2.5.pre10 and guido serassio's
cygwin-svc-2.5 patch to compile it to a squid nt service exe.
i used
$ cd c:/work/squid-nt/
$ >c:/work/squid-nt_patch.log patch -u acconfig.h C:/work/cygwin-svc-2_5.patch
but got errors like this one:
can't find file to patch at input line 4309
(http://www.psychotekk.de/extern/squid-nt_patch.log)
the same problems occured when i tried to merge my own patch
that i want to test.
then i tried to just compile squid-2.5.pre10:
$ cd c:/work/squid-2.5.pre10/
$ >c:/work/squid-2.5.pre10_configure.log configure CC="gcc -mno-cygwin" --build=i686-pc-cygwin --host=i686-pc-mingw
i got this message:
configure: warning: CC=gcc -mno-cygwin: invalid host type
Invalid configuration 'i686-pc-mingw': system 'mingw' not recognized
but the process went on
(http://www.psychotekk.de/extern/squid-2.5.pre10_configure.log)
$ make
started (http://ww.psychotekk.de/extern/squid-2.5.pre10_make.log)
but then i got
Signal 11
make[1]: *** [cf_parser.h] Error 139
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
and it stopped.
i can't believe that i don't get how to compile squid!
what did i do wrong here?
thanks in advance,
C.L.
